T. Mae Yoshida, Esq.

A graduate of
The Hastings College of the Law, Mae Yoshida has over 24 years of
experience in workers’ compensation. Prior to opening her own
practice, Mae was the General Counsel for Boehm & Associates where
she was instrumental in developing Boehm’s revenue enhancement
strategies for hospitals. Over the years, Mae gained recognition
for her support and advocacy of hospitals in effectively dealing
with the workers’ compensation system. In addition to her work with
and for hospitals, Mae integrated her knowledge and experience to
design, develop, and train staff to implement the operations of the
State of California's Workers’ Compensation Recovery Unit of the Victims of Crime Program. In her current practice, Mae also
represents injured persons in obtaining workers’ compensation
benefits and in personal injury litigation.
Jennifer Komatsu, Senior Hearing Representative.

Jennifer
Komatsu has over 18 years of experience working with medical service
providers in assisting them to maximize reimbursement for services
rendered to injured workers, in optimizing business operations to
maintain the balance between revenue generation and providing the
best care possible to their clients, and in representing their
interests at Hearings before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals
Board. Integrating her experiences managing chiropractic offices
with her knowledge of workers’ compensation law, Jennifer also
provides training and education services to medical service
providers and their operations staff.
Alice Branch, Senior Hearing Representative.

Alice Branch
brings her experiences in management, systems analysis, process
re-engineering, education and training, and organizational
development from her 22-year career at Hewlett-Packard to our
office’s work with medical service providers. In addition to
representing our clients at hearings before the Workers’
Compensation Appeals Board, Alice is known for her audits of client
accounts and analyses of payor patterns within the context of
workers’ compensation laws to ensure that our clients realize
maximum payment for the services provided to injured workers. Alice
holds a B.A. from the University of California at Davis and a M.A.
from the University of San Francisco.
Wolf Schubert, Information Systems.

A graduate
from the University of Bremen, Germany, Wolf Schubert has used his
extensive experience in information systems and database design to
develop one of a very small number of software applications certified by the State
of California to access the Department of Industrial Relations’
workers’ compensation database. In addition to providing in-house
systems support and customization, Wolf also is the key interface
with our clients’ information systems personnel to ensure that our
revenue recovery work is automated and minimally impacts our
clients’ day-to-day business operations. |
