T. Mae Yoshida, Esq.

A graduate of The Hastings College of the Law, Mae Yoshida has over 24 years of experience in workers’ compensation.  Prior to opening her own practice, Mae was the General Counsel for Boehm & Associates where she was instrumental in developing Boehm’s revenue enhancement strategies for hospitals.  Over the years, Mae gained recognition for her support and advocacy of hospitals in effectively dealing with the workers’ compensation system.  In addition to her work with and for hospitals, Mae integrated her knowledge and experience to design, develop, and train staff to implement the operations of the State of California's Workers’ Compensation Recovery Unit of the Victims of Crime Program.  In her current practice, Mae also represents injured persons in obtaining workers’ compensation benefits and in personal injury litigation.

Jennifer Komatsu, Senior Hearing Representative.

Jennifer Komatsu has over 18 years of experience working with medical service providers in assisting them to maximize reimbursement for services rendered to injured workers, in optimizing business operations to maintain the balance between revenue generation and providing the best care possible to their clients, and in representing their interests at Hearings before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.  Integrating her experiences managing chiropractic offices with her knowledge of workers’ compensation law, Jennifer also provides training and education services to medical service providers and their operations staff.

Alice Branch, Senior Hearing Representative.

Alice Branch brings her experiences in management, systems analysis, process re-engineering, education and training, and organizational development from her 22-year career at Hewlett-Packard to our office’s work with medical service providers.  In addition to representing our clients at hearings before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board,  Alice is known for her audits of client accounts and analyses of payor patterns within the context of workers’ compensation laws to ensure that our clients realize maximum payment for the services provided to injured workers.  Alice holds a B.A. from the University of California at Davis and a M.A. from the University of San Francisco.

Wolf Schubert, Information Systems.

A graduate from the University of Bremen, Germany, Wolf Schubert has used his extensive experience in information systems and database design to develop one of a very small number of software applications certified by the State of California to access the Department of Industrial Relations’ workers’ compensation database.  In addition to providing in-house systems support and customization, Wolf also is the key interface with our clients’ information systems personnel to ensure that our revenue recovery work is automated and minimally impacts our clients’ day-to-day business operations.
